Former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and actress Gabrielle Union, his wife, sold their Miami Beach mansion.
The deed has not yet been filed in county records, so it’s not clear who the buyer is. Listing broker Brett Harris of Douglas Elliman sent out an announcement that the celebrity estate was sold, although he declined comment. Data on Realtor.com via MLS said the home at 5980 North Bay Road just sold at $22 million.
Wade and Union owned the home through a trust.
This appears to end Wade’s storied time in Miami after the Heat drafted him in 2003. He led the team to three championships. Now, Wade and Union spend most of their time in California, where they are both working on-screen. Wade is the host of the new TBS game show “The Cube.”
The home last traded for $10.65 million in 2010, the same year the Heat landed the “Big 3” of Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh. Wade renovated the property, including adding a full-sized basketball court with bleachers.
Located on a waterfront lot of 43,615 square feet, the home totals 14,000 square feet with six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, two half bathrooms, a theater, a pool, a playground, a dock and a wine room.
